TACA: Talk About Curing Autism

This is probably my favorite Autism site. I've spent hours reading every single page. They have information on everything from biomedical, diets, therapies, why it works, do it all on a budget, etc. There is so much information on that one site I don't even know where to begin. So go HERE and soak up all the information!

The Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD)

This is another resource for Tennessee families. The Vanderbilt Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD) is dedicated to improving assessment and treatment services for children with autism spectrum disorders and their families while advancing knowledge and training. TRIAD offers workshops and training for parents and teachers. Please check out their website for more information. I've been to one of their workshops in Jackson. When they had the workshop they did one in West TN, Middle TN, and East TN. I really enjoyed it and learned some really useful ideas about using pictures to communicate.

Go here and sign up for Cafe Mom. There are tons of groups set up for Familes with autism, I'm sure you'll find one that fits you the best! My favorite is Biomed Mammas (of kids with Autism) Digest. You can ask questions and get answers from parents that have been there and done it. This site has been so help full!!

do 2 learn

Do 2 learn is an awesome website! They have free print outs for everything. From teaching phone numbers, holidays, shapes, math, you name it! They show you how to get organized and how to teach lessons. I really recommend this site! They also have free picture communication cards you can print out.
